testimonials

“We wanted a drought tolerant, lush garden with native plants that blended California and Nordic styles, to enjoy with our small kids and friends. Wow, we were amazed how they were able to incorporate all of that into a cohesive plan. Their knowledge of plants, attention to detail, and project planning has really been beyond our expectations. We were lucky to find a team that’s both very creative as well as organized and easy to work with.” – Monta Loma Residence Clients

“We have truly enjoyed working with Nicki and Alex throughout the duration of our landscape project. They carefully listened to our ideas and shared their expertise and insights with us to develop a comprehensive plan for our yard. They integrated native and drought tolerant plants, created comfortable areas for seating and relaxation, while always keeping our family’s interests and style at the forefront. They designed a beautiful outdoor sanctuary for our family in our suburban backyard that will be enjoyed for many years to come!” – Burlingame Residence Clients

our services

We charge $170 for an initial hour-long site visit, plus travel time and expenses. During this visit, we chat with you to discuss your project goals, learn about your property, and help you determine which of our services will best meet your needs. We also offer free pre-visit video calls to answer questions and help you with the process. Feel free to reach out with your questions!

We like to tailor our services to our client’s specific needs but here are four potential project pathways:

Comprehensive landscape design package: This involves site analysis, concept development, construction detailing, and construction support – we will support you from start to finish. Our fee can vary greatly, depending on project scope and budget, however to give you an idea, our fee for a small project would typically start around $15k.

Conceptual planning: This involves site analysis and concept development. This level is a good option for clients who want to have a guiding document as they develop their property over time, or for those wanting an overall vision but don’t necessarily want to build immediately.

Planting design: For clients who only want planting design, we offer a comprehensive planting design service. We develop a planting design concept that is tailored to your specific needs/wants i.e. boundary screening, biodiversity planting. Once approved, we then develop the concept into a planting plan (with plant quantities, locations and sizes). Included in this service is support laying out plants on-site to ensure the plants are installed as per our design. We do not undertake the planting ourselves but will provide planting guidance to contractors or yourselves. We also strongly encourage follow ups during the plant’s establishment period (first 3 years after planting).

Horticultural consulting: We offer horticultural consulting for our clients who want advice on plant selection, conceptual guidance etc., but want to garden independently.
